115 firms hold the CVM coordinator licence. Thirty-one used it.

115 firms hold the CVM coordinator licence. Thirty-one used it.

Brazil's CVM coordinator registry lists 115 firms registered and active as of 5 August 2026, out of 122 entries. Cross-referenced against ANBIMA's June 2026 origination ranking, 31 of those coordinated any fixed-income origination during 2026 — about one in four. Registration establishes eligibility, not experience, so an issuer selecting a coordinator should ask for offerings coordinated in the last twelve months, the instruments involved and the settlement dates, all verifiable in public registries. Regulated coordination activity at Bamboo DCM is conducted by Bamboo Securitizadora S.A. under its CVM Resolution 161 licence.

The licence screens out almost nobody

Brazil has 115 firms currently registered with the CVM to coordinate public offerings. In 2026, thirty-one of them coordinated any fixed-income origination at all.

That gap is the most useful thing a company can know before it picks the firm that will run its raise. The licence almost every candidate leads with screens out almost nobody. The thing worth screening for sits one step further down, and it is public.

What the registry actually says

The CVM publishes its coordinator registry as open data. Parsed in full on 5 August 2026, it contains 122 entries: 115 registered and active, 7 cancelled, and 43 registered since 1 January 2024 — 20 in 2024, 20 in 2025 and 3 so far in 2026.

Roughly twenty new coordinators register every year, and the population has been growing steadily since the regime opened.

Two things the registry cannot tell you

Both limits belong in the open, because a number quoted without them is worth less than no number.

The 2023 cohort is a regime artifact. Seventy-eight firms registered in 2023, which looks like a stampede and was not. CVM Resolution 161 took effect on 2 January 2023, so that year records the migration of participants already operating under the prior regime. The meaningful entry rate is the twenty a year that followed.

The registry cannot classify who is a bank. The CVM's own sector field is blank for 95 of the 115 active entries, so any split between bank-affiliated and independent coordinators is a proxy read off legal names, not a regulatory classification. Two reasonable analysts running that proxy get slightly different answers, which is exactly why the split should carry no weight in a decision.

The screen that matters is downstream

Cross-referenced against ANBIMA's June 2026 origination ranking, thirty-one of the 115 coordinated any Brazilian fixed-income origination during 2026. About one in four registered coordinators is actively deploying the permission it holds. The other three are registered, compliant, and idle.

This is not a criticism of the eighty-four. A licence is a real regulatory obligation and firms hold them for reasons that make sense internally, including work that has not started yet. It does mean that "we are a registered coordinator" answers a question no issuer was really asking. The permission is common. The capability to use it is not.

What to ask instead

Three questions, all answerable in a first conversation, all checkable afterwards against public registries.

How many offerings have you coordinated in the last twelve months? A number, not a range.

In which instruments? A firm that has coordinated CRI has not necessarily coordinated FIDC, and the operational differences are material to your timeline.

What were the settlement dates? Completion is the only part of the process that leaves a public trace.

A firm that has done the work answers all three from memory. A firm that has not will offer the registration instead, and now you know what that is worth. The registries are public: the CVM's coordinator registry for who may act, and ANBIMA's origination rankings for who did. Twenty minutes with both is a better screen than any credential a deck can carry.

Regulated activities are conducted by Bamboo Securitizadora S.A. (CNPJ 48.343.871/0001-34), which acts as coordinator of public offerings under its CVM Resolution 161 coordinator license and issues and services CRI, CRA and debentures under CVM Resolution 60. Frequently asked questions

It is a genuine regulatory prerequisite with real obligations attached, and it is not scarce. 115 firms hold one today and roughly twenty more register each year.

No. Registration establishes eligibility. In 2026, about one in four registered coordinators intermediated any fixed-income origination, so eligibility and activity are separate facts and only one of them is on the certificate.

The CVM publishes the coordinator registry as open data, and ANBIMA publishes origination rankings. Together they show who may coordinate and who actually has, without relying on anything the firm says about itself.

Offerings coordinated in the last twelve months, the instruments involved, and the settlement dates. All three are verifiable after the meeting.
